All etchings are permanently sandblasted by hand, no chemicals used, on the outside bottom of the dish so it does not compromise the integrity of the dish. The etching will NOT fade, wash off or affect the dish in anyway. Just bake as usual, and they are all dishwasher and oven safe. All of my etchings are sandblasted on brand new pieces. The baking dish will not be perfect! They may have swirls, stretch marks, an uneven edge and/or or small blemishes and divots. Each dish is marked by the maker Pyrex. They come this way from the manufacturer. These are the same baking dishes you would purchase at the store. Comes with red snap on lid, making it easy to transport food.
